Desert Chess Set

In this striking work of art a chess set depicts animals native to the Western U.S desert. Sculptor Mark Nordquist created each of these magnificent creatures with a unique personality.  Cast in bronze using the lost wax method, the pieces are finished with a natural polish on one side and a dark patina on the opposing side.  The chess pieces are oversized making the set ideal for a large game room, a stately lodge, or the home of a collector in search of a truly unique work of art.

​These sets are available in one or more of the following sizes: 

• Estate Size: The largest piece measures 3 ¼” wide X 6 ¼” with the board measuring 40” X 40” with 4” squares, in a limited edition of 20 sets, signed and numbered.
